HOW TO APPLY

To entrust the administration of your rights to KAMP COPYRIGHT AND RELATED RIGHTS LIMITED, simply fill in the following documents:

• Membership application and agreement form
• Work declaration form in which you declare works in which you are the rights holder as well as any other participant in each declaration recording. Once you are a member, all you have to do is keep KAMP COPYRIGHT AND RELATED RIGHTS LIMITED up to date with your repertoire and contact details

MEMBERSHIP APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS

Producer

For individual, Registered companies and Business names or Legal entities representing a group of producers

1. Two (2) passport-size photos
2. A non-refundable registration fee of Kshs. 10,000/- payable once (as prescribed by KAMP COPYRIGHT AND RELATED RIGHTS LIMITED from time to time)
3. If the sound recordings being declared are not productions, submit a valid signed contract or agreement between the artist(s)/group or band and the producer
4. New applicants will also be required to provide proof of financing their productions by submitting a copy of the receipt they paid for studio services.
5. New applicants will need to provide proof that their songs were being played on media, Skiza, YouTube, etc. through the provision of statements.
6. Evidence of the sound recordings i.e. copies of CDs, DVDs, VCDs, or MP3
7. Digital rights agreement (optional)
8. A sound declaration form for each recording to be registered
9. A duly filled application and agreement form
10. A copy of the certificate of registration and incorporation
11. Attach both copies of the PIN and VAT numbers (companies)
12. Copy of KRA PIN updated on ITax (individual producers)

If one is applying on behalf of a deceased person, also submit letters of administration from courts of law and a copy of the death certificate.


Performer

1. Filled in rights holder declaration form
2. Filled in work declaration form
3. Copy of commercially published recording
4. Two (2) passport-size photographs (color)
5. Copy of valid national identity card, passport, or birth certificate
6. Copy of I-Tax Updated Kenya Revenue Authority PIN certificate
7. Copy of valid national identity card, passport, or birth certificate of next of kin

Important Note: There are no registration fees charged for a limited period up to 31st October 2024. After this date, performer registration fees will be Kshs. 3,000 for existing KAMP members and Kshs. 5,000 for new members.

PAYING REGISTRATION FEES USING M-PESA

1. Go to M-pesa on your phone
2. Select “Lipa na M-pesa”
3. Select “Pay Bill”
4. Enter business number 560400
5. On the account number enter your official name
6. Enter the amount 10,000/- and send
